SCHOOL BOARD

The CCA board meets twice a month: the 2nd Thursday of the month at 8:00am and the 4th Thursday of the month at 6:00pm. Parents and staff are welcome to attend the evening session. Minutes of each meeting will be available to CCA families afterward and the board will send out additional updates as needed.

Leslie Leis | President

Leslie Leis has been a Fort Collins resident since 2000 and is a CSU graduate. She is a residential realtor for Northern Colorado, among other business ventures. She and her husband live in Fort Collins on a small horse property, and have two children enrolled at CCA. Leslie has a passion to see CCA grow and develop children that love Jesus and want to tell the world about him. In her spare time she loves training for triathlons and riding horses with her kids.

Kraig Peel | Board Member

I have been involved with CCA since it began with a variety of roles and responsibilities over the years. I am currently a tenured professor at CSU and have been at the university for 23 years. I am currently part time at CSU and spend the rest of my time as a livestock and ranch management consultant for individuals and companies. I currently also work for a company that provides natural feed additives for cattle. I strive to work in the area where science and practical application intersect in a realistic and applied way to help people. My wife and I have always been passionate about rigorous academics which drove the genesis of CCA. I am excited to be back on the board.

Stacey Horlings | Secretary

Stacey Horlings has been a CCA mom since the 18/19 school year when her oldest entered Kindergarten. Our family fell in love with the school and our teachers! Stacey is married to Aaron and blessed to be able to stay at home with their five kids. She joined the school board in the summer of 2022.

Dustin Couture | Facilities Director

Dustin joined the board in 2023, though he and his family have been a part of CCA since 2018. Their three girls are in pre-K, 2nd, and 4th grade. He and his wife, Jena, own Couture Custom Landscaping, an upscale landscaping and outdoor spaces construction company in Fort Collins.

Chris Bower-Fjellstrom | Board Member

Chris grew up in California and loves to go deep sea fishing every fall. He and his wife, Greta, moved to Colorado in 2022 and their oldest child has been attending CCA since 2022. Chris worked as an electrician for many years before going to nursing school and becoming a nurse.
