Academic Director - Trish Wadsworth   Academic Director - Trish Wadsworth

Trish Wadsworth graduated from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting.  Upon graduation she worked for one of the largest international accounting and global services firms carrying out financial audits for large multinational companies before heading up the management of internal controls at a large software company.  God called her to be a stay-at-home mom for her three children and she became an active volunteer at CCA before joining the school as a teacher in 2014.  Mrs. Wadsworth and her husband Jeff, both natives of Colorado, enjoy spending time in the outdoors with family.  She believes there is always something to learn and always a way to learn it. 

School Administrator - Cherese Macy   School Administrator - Cherese Macy

Cherese Macy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University.  She and her husband Adam have two daughters.  In her role of Office Manager at CCA, she oversees student/teacher files, handles all inquiries, tours, and enrollment, oversees fundraising, and provides general school communication.

Pre-Kindergarten - Beth Fabatz   Pre-Kindergarten - Beth Fabatz

Beth Fabatz holds a bachelor’s degree in Art Education from San Jose State University and an Early Childhood Education licensure from Colorado Christian University. Beth’s career in education began in 2007 as a reading interventionist at Pioneer Elementary School in Colorado Springs. In addition to teaching all aspects of literacy, math support also became a primary focus for grades K-2. Throughout these years, she completed over 300 hours of Professional Development, which strengthened her skillset in reading, math, science, and classroom management. While working as a full-time literacy teacher, Beth achieved an associate level reading certification in Orton-Gillingham, a multi-sensory approach to reading instruction. Beth has a passion for teaching young children about God’s love through biblical truths as well as the foundational skills they need for future success in school. She truly enjoys sharing the love of learning with her students in new and creative ways while helping them become lifelong independent learners.

First Grade - Rhonda Howeth   First Grade - Rhonda Howeth

Rhonda Howeth graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in elementary education, but her desire for learning did not stop there.  Being a life-long learner, Rhonda continues to find ways to help her students become life-long learners.  Rhonda’s calling is to help her students have a solid foundation of who God wants them to be so that they will be ready to do what God wants them to do the first time that He speaks to their hearts.  She has taught pre-kindergarten through fourth grade.  Rhonda has been married to John for 36 years.  They have two daughters and a son.   

Second Grade - Elizabeth McFeely   Second Grade - Elizabeth McFeely

Elizabeth McFeely has been involved with Christian Core Academy for the past seven years teaching Art, Pre-K, and 2nd grade. Prior to this she worked at Liberty Common School, as well as, homeschooled her own children for eight years. Elizabeth's desire is for the children she teaches to come to know God's love and in turn, share it with others! She studied Fine Arts/Art History at Chatham College in Pittsburgh.

Third Grade - Yvette Kershner   Third Grade - Yvette Kershner

Yvette Kershner has been a part of CCA for seven years. She loves teaching children and has taught Sunday School for over ten years. Her passion is to ensure that each child knows they are uniquely created and loved by the God of the universe. She is the mother to four wonderful children. In her free time she enjoys reading, playing UNO and watching Marvel or Harry Potter movies with her kids.

Fourth Grade - Julie Martin   Fourth Grade - Julie Martin

Julie Martin got her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Victoria (BC, Canada) in 2008, transitioning from her work as a Special Ed assistant to a teacher in Christian education. After moving to Colorado with her husband Chris, Julie took some time off to stay home with their two children. Eager now to return to the classroom, Julie's passion is to foster a love of learning in her students, while encouraging each to walk in his or her own unique calling, and in a deeper knowledge of Christ. 

Fifth Grade - Nancy Harmon   Fifth Grade - Nancy Harmon

Nancy Harmon graduated with high honors from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  She taught First Grade at Maranatha Christian School in Idaho in the 1990’s.  Nancy and her husband have two children whom she home schooled Kindergarten through 8th Grade.  Nancy is excited to see what God has in store for her students each year.  

Middle School Science/Art - Marcia Davis   Middle School Science/Art - Marcia Davis

Marcia holds a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wyoming and a Master’s degree in Library Education from the University of Northern Colorado.  She worked as a Middle School Science Teacher for 7 years at Olive Tree Christian School before coming to CCA in 2012.  Marcia loves to impart biblical truths to students about God’s creation.  She, and her husband Steve, have three children.  Marcia enjoys reading, watching movies, and craft projects of all kinds.

Middle School Language Arts/Bible - Laurie Schuett   Middle School Language Arts/Bible - Laurie Schuett

Laurie graduated from CSU with a bachelor's degree in English Education and later earned a master's degree from CU in Education and Curriculum. She taught English at Longmont High School for 14 years before taking a break to raise three kids, and is excited to be returning to the classroom. She enjoys studying God's Word, learning Hebrew, working in the backyard, and spending time with family.
